During the severe flood in Bihar in 2007 and 2008, TIM did flood relief work in 5 districts, Naugachia (Bhagalpur District), Muraliganj (Madhepura District), Purnea, Katihar, and Muzaffarpur District. Based on the survey of the flood-affected areas in the districts mentioned above, we formed a team that volunteered to travel to the flood-affected villages and help the victims. The team purchased the blankets, food items, utensils, etc., and distributed them to people who were in desperate need. We were able to distribute about 3000 relief packets in these districts. As part of the relief work, we also drilled hand pumps in needy villages.
